Clothing & Textile Advisors

Three CTAs take a break during the 2020 Sewing and Stitchery Expo.If you enjoy textiles and fiber arts, love to create and collect, and want to learn and share your knowledge, this group is for you!

The Clothing & Textile Advisors (CTAs) are a long-standing nonprofit organization with chapters in Pierce, Kitsap, Snohomish, Lewis, Walla Walla, Benton, and Franklin counties in Washington state. Each chapter provides educational and charitable activities in their communities throughout the year, sharing their love of all things sewing with adults and youth. The classes provide foundational sewing skills, such as hemming and fixing buttons, and more advanced techniques such as tailoring and pattern alteration.

The CTAs are the backbone of the in-person Sewing & Stitchery Expo—staffing in classrooms and helping to make Expo a success, always with a smile.

CTAs are lifelong learners. They learn from the experts at the Expo as well as from each other. Monthly meetings provide learning opportunities from guest instructors, opportunities to share completed projects, and a chance to be with others who share your love of all things sewing.
