Download the 2021 Virtual Sewing & Stitchery Expo Class Catalog to learn more about past class offerings. The 2021 Sewing & Stitchery Expo was offered virtually.
Classes range from 60-minute lecture/demos to four-hour, intensive learning experiences. Your class time will vary based on the class type and your teacher, but you can plan to walk away with a new skill or a new idea, no matter what level you choose!
Hands-on Two, Three and Four Needle classes may require student supplies and a class kit, and some may even need homework! More information will be available about those classes before ticket sales begin. Teachers are paid directly for kit fees at the beginning of the class.

Expo offers four levels of learning experiences:
One Needle Classes
One Needle classes are a traditional lecture/demo format — the perfect class for an introduction to a new concept, tips and tricks to make your creative life better, or brushing up on fundamentals.
- 60 minutes
Two Needle Classes
Two Needle are 90 minutes of learning! They are either a lecture/demo with a hands-on element, or a short class covering a specific technique or project. Sewing machines/sergers are not available for Two Needle classes.
- 1.5 hours
Three Needle Classes
Three Needle classes are a great opportunity to hone your skills and develop new ones. You can try out the latest sewing machine and serger models in many of these classes, too! You may complete projects with handwork or machines, or even try a new skill like dying, felting, or weaving! Pre-registration required for classes with kits and encouraged for all Four Needle classes.
- 2.5 hours
Four Needle Classes
This is Expo boot camp! Four Needle classes are immersive learning experiences and are primarily held on Wednesday. They present an ideal opportunity to learn and experience in-depth techniques and ignite inspiration for more complex projects. Sewing machines and sergers are available in many of these classes. Pre-registration required for classes with kits and encouraged for all Four Needle classes.
